Leufroy of Marist posts 2:10.09 in 800m at Taco Bell, Redan girls finish 2nd in team standings

Ena Leufroy, of Marist, posted a state best time of 2:10.09 in the 800m as she finished seconds behind Sarah Bowman, of Fauquier HS in Virginia, the nations number one 800m runner. It was a stellar in a field that had four Georgia athletes in the top 7 as Racquel Daly (SW Dekalb), Diaomond Marks (Redan) and Danielle Shaurette (North Gwinnett) all posted sub 2:22 times. Redans girls come off of their successful Mobile Challenge of Champions effort to finish 2nd in the team standings. Diamond Marks capped off her successsful evening with a 56.69 time in the 400m, a time that qualifies her for the NIke Outdoor National Championships. Aleesha Barber, also of Redan, continues to run impressively in big meets as she finished 1st in both the 100 and 400m hurdles. Nicole Okolo, of Collins Hill, finished a close second to Barber in the 100m Hurdles, 14.59 to 14.75. SW Dekalb\'s girls ran well again in the 4x800m, taking the top spot with their 9:34 effort.
