The Week Ahead: One Last Bang Before Spring Break

Wow. Those county, city, and area championships did not disappoint. It was the week of the season that easily had the most MileSplit elite performances across the state. Like I said, there's just something about local rivalries that brings out the best in everybody. Most schools are on spring break next week, so this week really provides just one last chance to get a PR before a well earned break from competition. There will be some kids who compete in some top level meets over the break, but for the most part I think teams will be resting up to get ready for the final push with region, sectionals, and state. 

However, there is one more week of competition before we get to that point. And there are plenty of good meets happening in the next several days before the break.The biggest meet of the week has to be the GA Spring Break Showdown over at Marietta High school. And for the first time ever, MileSplit will be streaming it LIVE for all to see. So if you're riding in the car for 8 hours on your way to the beach on Saturday, tune in to see the athletes who wanted to give it one more shot against some stellar competition.
