From Matt Barry, PV-ATL:
A few pole vaulters recently travelled to the largest pole vault meet in the nation this past new years, Texas Explosion Pole Vault competition, in Belton, Texas.  Over 250 pole vaulters jumped in this meet with 10 boys and 10 girls divisions. Jordan Frank (10th), Noelle Hambrick (10th), Addison Dempsey (8th), Layla Keadle (10th), and Alon Rogow (12th) travelled and competed.

Layla Keadle won her division with an 11'8 jump and Alon Rogow had a lifetime best performance.  Alon Rogow jumped in the Elite Boys division -- the highest high school boys division -- where he jumped 16'6.75" placing third.  This mark is the second highest ever indoor mark in Georgia and the 7th all-time best jump in Georgia.  Rogow just committed to the University of Georgia and is now ranked fourth in the nation in the event.

The indoor state record is 17' by Jordan Scott and the all-time state record is 17'2 by Nikita Kirillov.  Layla is also the defending 5A state champion and Jordan is the 5A state runner-up, both sophomores at Pole Vault Atlanta and competing at North Springs High School.
