2020 Meet of Champions Field
With most top teams across all classifications and top individuals racing Saturday, the field will be loaded. As always there will be some team and individuals who are resting for another race or decided their season is over.
A reminder of selection criteria:
- The Selection Committee looks at rankings of teams and individual athletes based on times as well as head to head competition from throughout the season as well as the state Meet.
- for the boys, it usually takes under 16 minutes in 5K or under 17 minutes at Carrollton
- for the girls, it usually takes under 19 minutes in 5K or under 20:15 minutes at Carrollton
- consideration is giving for tougher courses by looking at head to head competition
- Teams who win their classification at the State meet get an automatic invite; Top 2 individuals at state in each classification get an automatic invite.
