What a pickle doing virtual meets for the Middle School State Cross Country Championships is... Unlike high schoolers, middle school races are mostly contested as either 3000 meters, 3200 meters, or the 2-mile run. And no disrespect to any meet hosts, but we occasionally get feedback that courses were not the actual distance they were billed at creating yet more confusion... One thing is certain like the HS State meets in Carrollton, the playing field is leveled for all runners at the testy Bleckley Elementary School course.
