Megan Uszynski of McIntosh won the Overall girls title
The #3 ranked All-Classes McIntosh girls veteran squad put this race away early in some really nasty conditions (sideways rain as well as cool gusty winds) with their top 6 leading going into the final loop and ended up 'perfect scoring' the race sweeping the top 5 spots. Sr Megan Usyzynski led the Lady Chiefs' war party claiming the Individual crown posting the winning time of 19:16 on the soggy course. Fellow Sr. Zoe Smith was runnerup going 19:35, Paris Alsup placed 3rd at 19:50, Kayla Rose was 4th in 20:01 and Hannah Moore 5th at 20:04. Starrs Mill was easily 2nd as a team led by Allie Walker's 6th place effort of 20:16. Whitewater (3rd) and Fayette County (4th) both ran well and earned free passes to State as the other 3 schools were unable to team score..

The Boys actually ran before the Girls, with the outcome being nearly the polar opposite between Starrs Mill and McIntosh. The #2 ranked 5A Panthers rolled to the team title having 6 runners finish in the top 7 spots scoring 18 points. A pair of Juniors led the hunt including Overall winner Joseph Muzzillo as he sloshed through the muck posting a 16:51 taking the title. Colton Olvey came across next taking runnerup honors going 16:56. Sr. Matt Norton placed 4th at 17:10 with Kolby Smith 5th in 17:23. Greyson Graf of McIntosh spoiled a perfect score party by the Panthers seizing 3rd overall in 17:23 leading the Chiefs to a strong 2nd place team finish. Whitewater and Fayette County punched their tickets to Carrollton placing 3rd/4th team wise.
