The girls 1600 form Marietta last yar was a good one

It's finally here, the first substantial weekend in Georgia track and field. We've got a lot of the usual suspects kicking us off and the weather will be....well it's best not to look at the forecast for this weekend. Either way, it'll be great for kids to shake off some rust and get back out there. You don't win any state titles in the 2nd weekend of February, but you can definitely start yourself down the right path, and it's important to get off to a good start in that journey. It's not that you can't recover from a bad first race, but it's certainly easier on yourself long term to take a good first step. And that's what this weekend provides for us, a good first step for kids who have been itching to get back out there. Good luck to all who open their season this weekend! Georgia MileSplit will be out there too!
