Marist's Girls have been unstoppable in their class winning 11 State titles beginning in 2008. The past 2 years have been the closest they've been pushed with St. Pius, Blessed Trinity 18 and 22 points back and Oconee County a strong 4th. In 2017 Oconee's strongest squad in program history gave them a good scare only 18 points back. Proving, schools can have their best programs in history and easily would have won that Class if not perpetual nemesis Marist were not in it.. For us of the older generation, Marist won 8 titles from 1996-2004. That's only bested by Westminster's program led by Coach Amy Eubanks... Meaning, its going to take a team that's awfully dang' talented, special team chemistry and luck of the Irish to push them off their 'mountain top' Their MS programs were known to very low key, until they began making the annual trip ...
