Well, there's nothing like having mother nature come smack us in the face again early into the season. Facing a cold drizzling rain, 10 mph winds and mid forties temps. But, 25 MileSplit Silver Elite performances were cranked out. Marietta HS swept the team titles as the Boys won by 29 points with meet host Archer 2nd. The Lady Devils had a victory margin of 25 points. It was a tight battle for 2nd place with Brookwood 2nd, McEachern 3rd, North Springs 4th (separated by only 2.5 points)
Chakiya Plummer from McEachern swept the hurdles events, taking the 100h in 14.58 and a swift 43.58 in the 300h.
Naima Turbes was like a postman, as she delivered with wins in the 800m in 2:18.78 and 1600m going 5:03.91
Synclair Savage of North Cobb Christian, doubled in the short sprints, as she won the 100m dash in 12.21 and later the 200m at 25.15
Myles Collins of host school Archer won a tight 1600m race clocking a 4:20.24 besting Jack Filan from Cambridge at 4:22.50
Kamari Miller of Marietta made it 2 wins in a row taking the 3200m race in 9:36.
Joshua Stradford of McEachern won the 300m hurdles in a time of 38.32
In a tight 110m hurdles contest, Wilson McClain of Peachtree Ridge took the win going 15:17 over a Brookwood duo.
