Gracie O' Neal from Gordon Lee, has been the top distance runner in A Public for the last 2 years. She did not have to work too hard in defending her title clocking a 20:56, as O'Neal has pr's for A Pub (like 19:15 at Asics) the other girls in her class cannot comprehend. Gordon Lee had to settle for 4th in the team standings.

Telfair County repeated as team State champs. The XC and Track programs down in McRae seemed to begin an upward trend back in2010, as Lisa Pitt came in and built the program from the ground up, using MS as her base, turning the program around. No assistant coaches, no facilities but through her hard work and dedication. Their top 5 finished within the first 15 spots. Including Paige White who placed 3rd (22:50) and Shayla Cook 4th (23:06)
