Buford's Kimberly Harris had an exceptional first season of high school track posting performances of 23.86 in the 200, 53.51 in the 400, and 18-8 in the long jump. Harris won the emerging elite division of the 200 at New Balance Nationals and was a state runner-up in the long jump and 200 meter dash. In the 400, Harris won the 5A state title and earned All-American honors in the event.
