Lethbridge Twins Accept Appointments to the Naval Academy

 

Fayette County residents and four sport high school stars Matthew and Jacob Lethbridge accepted appointments to the United States Naval Academy (Annapolis, Maryland).  Matthew is a three time winner of Atlanta Track Club’s runner of the year award and Jacob earned ESPN play of the week recognition along with high point honors at back to back Georgia Boys Olympics in Jefferson.  The recruited Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School seniors will run cross country, indoor and outdoor track for the Midshipmen. During their high school career the twins won twelve individual state championships, three consecutive cross country Georgia High School Association team championships, four Fayette County cross country team championships and hold several school records.  While each maintaining a 3.5 GPA the Lethbridge twins earned more than 30 varsity letters in basketball, soccer, cross country and track and will enter the USNA Class of 2013 on July 1, 2009.
