Hayden Tullos from Marietta HS will make a repeat trip to NXN Nationals held out in Portland, Oregon. He did it this time as an Individual, as part of the Marietta Track Club. Tullos is the sole Georgia athlete to Q' and was near the lead from the start and hung tough for 5th Overall posting a 15:15.20 NXN Nationals will be held on 12/3 next Saturday on the Glendoveer Golf Course.
Serena Tripodi of Lovett came up a place short of repeating as an Individual qualifier, coming across 9th overall clocking a 18:06.30, which was the fastest time for an unattached runner. Everyone will look forward to watching the Columbia University signee race in 2017 Outdoor Track. Josie Wirtz was the 2nd Georgian placing 48th in 18:56. Ellie Hall of Marietta took 55th at 19:03. Georgia did not have a Girls team in the Championship race.
Ben Patterson from Marietta HS was a solid 14th overall at 15:38. Marietta Track Club was 16th as a team with 449 points.
Braeden Collins of Alexander had an impressive race finishing 19th overall at 15:43, leading the Cougars to 9th place teamwise.
Marist Boys (Ava Maria) were the top Georgia Boys squad at NXN Southeast Regional, placing 9th with 224 points, 90 ahead of Alexander. Quinn Burden led the War Eagle's pack finishing 28th at 15:53, with Leif Andersen 37th at 15:57.
