HS Boys- Hebron Christian brought it today, walking away with the 8-A title scoring 31 points placing 4 runners in the top 8 spots. Sr Mark Stein pulled away on the 2nd loop to win the Overall title as well at 17:30, lauded by shouts of 'Frankenstein!' at the Awards ceremony. Wesley Warbington finished 5th along with Ben Glover's 6th to bolster the Lions' efforts.

It was a scrum for 2nd as Athens Academy and Providence Christian were tied for 2nd with 53 points, though Athens Academy seized 2nd on a 6th runner tiebreak. Leading the Spartans was soph Ryan Iyer in 2nd at 17:36. PCA placed 2 in runners in the top 7, including Sr Sammy Clough in 4th Overall at 17:57. Athens Christian ran well on their home turf, placing 4th punching another ticket to Carrollton. Leading the Eagles was frosh Noah Irwin in 3rd Overall at 17:42.

Tanner Guest left it all out on the course winning the Overall Region title.
HS Girls- Unusual race with Block nursing a slight injury, but Tanner Guest from host ACS gave it her all, collapsing just after crossing the finish line, winning the Region title in 20:04. Hebron Christian seemed to conserve their energy just a bit, winning the team title by 20 points over Athens Academy. The Lions had 4 gals in the top 10, led by Alyssa Hawkins in 4th (20:45), MIranda Taylor 5th (20:51) and Amanda Jackson 6th (20:53)
Emily Swanigan from Providence took 2nd Overall
Providence Christian seemed to hold back somewhat, and took 3rd as a team led by Emily Swanigan's Overall runnerup finish at 20:22. Athens Academy took 2nd teamwise (without Block) as Emily Ballard-Meyer was at the helm today, placing 3rd in 20:38. Athens Christian once again made the 'Big Dance' taking 4th easily on their home course.
