The competition should be intense in both Varsity races. Some sure to be ranked in the top 10 in their respective Class squads are in the Girls race including: Landmark Christian, Marietta High School, McIntosh High School, North Oconee, Northgate, Starrs Mill High School and Whitewater High School. Top Individuals to watch for will be Landmark's Kathryn and Sarah Foreman, Ellunde Montgomery of host Union Grove, Alyssa LeClaire of McIntosh. Boys
For the first time in recent history GISA schools may compete in GHSA sanctioned meets allowing Trinity Christian Dublin's Kaleb and Jacob McLeod to compete against tough competition. Kaleb proved at Foot Locker South last Fall he was among the top Boys in the state being Georgia's top finisher. Some of the top Boys teams in contention for a team title will be pre-season 6A #1 Marietta High School, North Oconee, Pickens County, Rockdale Co.,Starrs Mill High School, Union Grove and Whitewater High School. Top Individuals to keep a lookout for are Hakeem Mustafaa of Shaw, Ryan Peck of Wheeler, Kaleb McLeod of Trinity Christian, Sean Parker of Pickens County, Wilson Moore of Chapel Hill, Parker Nail from Whitewater, Austin Gray of Morrow, Dax Willette of Rockdale, Khayvon Benson and Ben Patterson from Marietta.
