Walton's Farmer Leaves no Doubt, He's the Best in 2014, Posting a 9:15 in 6A 3200 Meter Race
The race went out very pedestrian as all 16 athletes were within 10m of each other the first 2 laps. Perfect Timing's big scoreboard went in and out, so we have no split times, but Phil rebooted and got it going again (cord?)Kevin Mills of Peachtree Ridge took the lead for several laps as they split around 4:53 at 1600. Miles Yapp of Brookwood made a move taking the lead and held it for a couple laps going into the gun lap. Then Kenan Farmer made a surge matched by Yapp for maybe 100m, until Farmer with superior turnover sped away, winning the race in 9:15.90. Yapp held on for 2nd posting a 9:19, Mills 3rd in 9:20 and Daniel Ellis of Collins Hill placed 4th in 9:29 holding off Nahom Solomon of Shiloh (9:30) A minute after the race was over another short downpour drenched everyone for a few minutes..lol
