I worried about the hills getting to Dash Brackin, but the Carrollton freshman showed up and had his best race of the year in a very impressive showing.

It's the time of year where we get to check out how everybody ranks by class at the 2024 GHSA State Championships. This is always fun to take a look at things by class to see who the top kids were on the same course over the same weekend. The weather varied, and 5A definitely got the worst weather, but this still gives us all an idea of where the kids stack up against their closest related peers.

The freshman boys class had 220 athletes competing at state. A total of 2 boys broke 17:00 and 17 of them broke 18:00 at Carrollton.
