Gordon Lee Triumphs as A Public Champs

Mitchell County made the 20 minute trip from Camilla and won the 4x100m relay in 49.39 beating Georgia Military Prep or GMAC (49.70) for the Gold medal. Marion County began their run to catch Gordon Lee placing 3rd in 50.06.

 

 

GMAC dominated the 400m dash as teamates Calli McMullen and Sutton Long pushed to the finish line before McMullen face-planted across the line taking 1st/2nd respectively in 59.89 and 1:00.00.  Jada Gardner from Marion County won the Bronze medal.

 

 

In an great 100m dash race 4 girls crossed the finish line in a split of .08 with Desiree Blunt from Twiggs County taking the win in 12.59. Kimmie Davis from Baconton Charter secured the Silver in 12.64 with Mitchell's Akeryian Florence 3rd at 12.66 and teamate Kayla Lawrence 4th in 12.67.

 

 

Uniqua Mosley from Portal HS won the 100h clocking a 16.05 and a pair of Commerce athletes came in 2nd/3rd including Lily Mathers in 16.30 and Zoey Forrester 16.32.

 

 

Haley Collins from Schley County pr'd by nearly :08 in winning the 800m run at 2:29.87. Jaelin Pollard from Greenville HS nipped Rebecca Dixon of Marion County as both athletes went 2:34

 

 

Kimmie Davis of Baconton (25.93) got some payback in the 200 meters beasting 100m winner Blunt (25.98) by .05 as both athletes had to lean at the finish. Corrissa Perry of Mt. Zion Carrollton was 3rd in 26.32.

 

 

Malique Brunner from Elite Scholars Academy ran away with the 300h race posting a 47.96. Timarius Whitting of Terrell County placed 2nd and Aiyanna Crumbley from Marion County was 3rd.

 

 

GMAC closed out the A Public meet by winning the 4x400m relay in 4:13.51 with Marion County 2nd in 4:16.60 and Elite Scholars Academy 3rd.
