   4A- Marist Girls Crush the Field w/ 22 Points. Ilse Defends Title Unchallenged

The Marist Girls are deep and talented and were very well rested for this race proving they are the 'best of the best' in Georgia crushing Heritage-Catoosa scoring 22 points. Morgan Ilse laid down the first Girls sub 19: time of the day just cruising to another 4A individual title in 18:57.

Marist sat their top 5 at region 6 and being well rested these girls peaked hard. Their top 5 all made All-State honors led by Morgan Ilse Ilse went out hard through the mile in 5:45 and hung on for close posting the fastest time of the day thru the 2nd girls race clocking the first sub 19: time of the day in 18:57. Freshman Anna Renou placed 2nd in 19:45 and Kendall Nelson was 3rd in 20:07. Anne Marie Ilse was 7th in 20:26 and Caitie Faust 8th in 20:29.  Heritage Catoosa was a strong second still, scoring 98 points led by Sarah Buckler's 10th place effort in 20:34.

Other Individuals making the All-State squad were 2 girls from Perry HS including Abby Booth placing 3rd in 19:58 and Tiffany Mountin 9th in 20:31. Chestatee a little bit of a surprise in 3rd with 4 in the top 40 claimeding the 3rd place team Cup with 152 points and Eagle's Landing HS celebrated a return back  on the  Podium  with freshman Betty Jackson leading the flock placing 6th in 20:26
