AUGUSTA, Ga. – The GRU Augusta Men’s and Women’s Cross Country programs remained in the top 10 for the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II Regional Rankings Tuesday afternoon, according to a release from the USTFCCCA.

While the weekend didn’t produce any new No. 1 teams in any of the men’s or women’s regions in the USTFCCCA, a number of teams advanced toward the pinnacles of their respective regions. The Jaguar women who slipped out of the spotlight last ranking, jumped back to a No. 7 spot ahead of King, North Georgia, and Queens (N.C.). The Jags made the highest climb for a team that was not ranked for the previous week.

The Jaguar men remain in the hunt for the top spot, sitting at No. 3 in the Southeast behind Mount Olive at No. 1 and Columbus State at No. 2. From the Peach Belt Conference, GRU Augusta, Columbus State, Flagler, Georgia College, and UNC Pembroke all made the top 10 for the men’s and women’s rankings, while North Georgia and Clayton State only made the women’s list.
