The Cobb County Corps Property is open for running and inspection the month of August. The land is used for hunting prior to 10 a.m. after September 9th. Contact John Purcell (John.Purcell@cobbcounty.org) for a special use permit for practices or events at the park.

Port-a-Johns will be onsite starting Friday 9/8/16 in the afternoon. Gentlemen should use the port-a-johns, not the woods.

There will be a designated team tent area that will be marked off the day of the meet. Please do not set-up anywhere outside of the marked area.

If there is too much rain, all teams and spectators must be bussed or will need to walk in from Frey Elementary and Durham Middle School. This will be determined the week of the race, but please make plans ahead of time.

It is encouraged to bring bug spray and to not go into the woods.

Timing The Perfect Timing Group will time the meet using chip timing. Please only enter athletes that will be present on meet day.

Coaches Each team must bring their own water, there is not a water source at the
Important meet!
Reminders
Please pick-up after your team. We will lose this location in the future if we do not follow all of the Cobb County Corps’s rules. Help us make sure we have this course for future use!

We cannot charge spectators an entry fee for the meet, thus we cannot give back to Cobb County Parks the way we would like to. Please consider having your school’s booster club give a donation to the park. Last season, Walton and Harrison donated a great deal of money to help the park, the last place to host a large XC meet in Cobb County!

Coaches – athletes will not be allowed to park or be dropped off at the meet. All teams MUST reserve buses to bring their teams to and from the meet. Parking for parents and spectators is one-way (one-way in up to half-way through the meet and one-way out after that point).
