This week your first Middle School 'Runner of the Week' was selected and its Sydney Runyan of the Etowah Youth Club. MS Row's will be selected until the Georgia MS State Championships and those Champions will be 2015 MS ROWs

Saucony Battle of Atlanta, Marist Girls and Mill Creek Boys Rule the Day Aug 31, 2015

Incredible day of racing at the 2015 Saucony Battle of Atlanta as over 2900 runners tackled the pristine Nash Farms Battlefield course. Great conditions for a race in late August as it was cloudy with some breezes! A Civil War re-enactor in full regalia started every race with an authentic period Musket which made quite a boom!

The Varsity Girls race at Saucony Battle of Atlanta should be a 'wing dinger' as well with its most competitive field ever. The has grown from 22 Teams in 2008 to 76 Squads this season and has evolved into one of the premiere HS/MS meets in the State. The Nash Farms course is a 2.5 loop 95% grass course. Most consider the course moderate in difficulty and it is the most spectator friendly course in Georgia. Spectators are able to see over 90% of each race.

Battle of Atlanta Preview- The Saucony Battle of Atlanta has grown from 22 Teams in 2008 to 76 Squads this season and has evolved into one of the premiere HS/MS meets in the State. The Nash Farms course is a 2.5 loop 95% grass course. Most consider the course moderate in difficulty and it is the most spectator friendly course in Georgia. Spectators are able to see over 90% of each race. The Nash course has been home to numerous major high school XC meets, several NCAA D1 meets and conference championships and the 2013 D3 Regional Meet. Due to the growth of the meet, there have been 3 more JV races added. The Middle School races have over 900 runners signed up as well.
