We are excited to bring you the 2014 AT&T Panther XC Invitational.
You can count on the these elements from the last few years to make this another strong XC meet:
1- A Fast course with a few hills to make it interesting
2- Strong fields in all the races with good teams
3- A great spectator course for fans
4- A well managed race with shoe chip timing to keep timing/scoring moving.
We have some exciting news for this year's meet:
1- Alan Webb, American record holder in the mile, will be joining us as the elite athlete. He will be at the dinner on Friday at 7pm as well as Saturday to help with awards and sign autographs.
2- we added a 3K middle school race after the freshman race.
3- we improved the course along one side of the lake where we straighten it, graded it and added grass.
Schedule of 6 races:
6:30 am Packet Pick-up Opens and Course Open for Warm-ups
7:50 am Course Closes for Warm-ups
8:00 am Varsity Girls (10 runners)
8:30 am Varsity Boys (10 runners)
9:00 am JV Girls (unlimited)
9:30 am JV Boys (unlimited)
10:00 am Freshman Boys & Girls(run together, scored & awarded separately)
10:30 am Middle School Boys & Girls- 3K (run together, scored & awarded separately)
10:45 am Awards (we should be done by 11:30am)
Timing:
Perfect Timing Group is contracted to do timing this year. Each athlete will have a race number and a shoe chip. We will remove the shoe chip before they leave the finish chute. All shoe chips not returned will be charged to the school of the runner. Results will be posted on www.ga.milesplit.com and www.ptgrouponline.com later on Saturday.
***All runners must be register online to receive shoe chips. No shoe chip = No official time.
Entry Fee:
$150 per girls team only or $150 per boys team only
$250 per combined girls & boys teams
$20 per individual (Middle School only)

77 acres, 3 entrances for easy traffic flow
1000+ parking spots, special bus parking area, plus overflow parking
Plenty of areas for team tents (shaded or in the sun)
Plenty places for warm-up by the course or paved paths
Plenty of portable restrooms near team team/ warm up area and separate one inside the start area
Medic/ Training tent
Course is very spector friendly/ go down by the lake and see your athlete run by
Hospitality Tent/ Drinks for all coaches
Concessions available
Custom Nike-Panther XC Invitational T-shirts available for purchase;
Course markers every 200m on the course + additional Clock at the 1 mile marker
Finish Chute and large clock at the line
Elite Athlete Tent for autographs
Alan Webb will be available at the tent to sign autographs and take pictures throughout the morning.
Courtesy Rules:
If your athlete must stop in walk during the race, we will ask them to step off the course and not finish.
We will stop the automatic timing at 30 minutes. If you have an athlete running slower than 30 minutes, they will not get placed in the results and the coach will need to secure their time.
For the Freshman and middle school Races, we will run the clock for a few additional minutes.
