The first loop is 1000m, followed by two loops of 2000m each. Each 1000m and each mile is marked with a permanent marker post on the right-hand side of the course. The course is 99% off-road with three road crossings of 10m each and four wooden bridge crossings of 5m each. NOTE: the bridges may and are often slippery, so please inform your runners to be careful when running across the bridges!! The course consists of grass, bark-chip, gravel, dirt, and soft pine needle trails. A course map will be in your race packet. It is very spectator-friendly, with viewing of the race start, 1000m mark, two-mile split, 3000m mark, and the finish from the main field. Milton Cross Country will have padded mats over the road surface and on both bridge crossings!!

Timing & Results: This will be a chip-timed race by the Perfect Timing Group so make sure you inform all your athletes to turn their chips BACK INTO THEIR TEAM COACHES at the end of the race & each school must then turn in chips to the timers at the finish or your school will be charged $25 for each one not returned. ALL runners will be timed and scored so enter all of your athletes in the meet. We will have extra zip-ties for timing chips to attach to the runner's shoes and extra safety pins at the information tent available to all teams.
