Meet of Champions Open Race:
Schedule
7:30am the track is open for warm-ups.
8:20am Track Closed for warm-up; warm-ups can be done outside the track on the PTC cart paths
8:30am 1st heat (Slow heat of the boys) -
10 heats: boys Heats: 1,2,4,6,8,10: Girls heats: 3,5,7,9,
every 15 minutes another heat starts (each heat has ~ 20-25 runners)
10:30am Fastest heat of girls (~ 20 girls) - we will have a pacer
10:45am Fastest heat of Boys (~ 20 boys) - we will have a pacer
Seeding of Heats
We will combine the athletes from the open races with athletes in the invited races. We will have one set of male athletes and one set of female athletes.
We will use 2025 5K times to seed the heats; We will verify the times of all athletes; if the 2025 5K times were from a known short course, we will either the next fastest time for that athlete or an adjusted time from short course.
