Schools may preview the course on Friday October 31st from 4:30 until dark. Our coaches will be at the start line to answer any questions you may have about the course. DO NOT arrive on campus before 4 p.m. as you will block the car rider line at dismissal.
Proposed Start Times:
The course will open at 7:30 a.m.
Coaches' Meeting 9:00 a.m. (Coaches' Hospitality Area at Registration)
Varsity Boys (top 7) 9:30 a.m.
Varsity Girls (top 7) 10:00 a.m.
JV 10:40 We will allow each team to register 7 JV Boys and 7 JV Girls. (So you may bring up to 14 total runners per gender in accordance with the GHSA roster.)
Timing Company: Carpet Capital Running Club.
Please make all roster adjustments by Monday, October 27th at 9 a.m.. Per GHSA, there will be no changes or additions after this time. For Varsity athletes, you will need to register them in two races, one for the Overall Section and one for the appropriate Region. JV will just have to be entered once. This will make it possible to sort results by Region more efficiently.
Arrival and Parking: The Poplar Springs Road entrance will be closed for runners safety. Buses and cars will need to enter at the Post Oak Road Entrance. Volunteers and signs will be posted. Spectators may also park at Heritage Middle School (4005 Poplar Springs Road) and walk across the street once the high school parking lot is full. Bus parking, tent area, and registration will be on the green horseshoe in front of the school (less than 100 yards from start/finish line). On the map below it is that green space beneath the word "Finish". Again, signs and volunteers will be posted.
The course is spectator friendly. Mile and kilometer markers are posted. The course is also spike friendly. We have artificial turf that covers the two road crossings.
Restrooms: will be available at the main entrance to the school and at the field house (located next to the softball field). Please remind your athletes to be respectful of the facilities. Spikes should NOT be worn inside the school building.
We will have a coffee/breakfast truck on site. Athletic Trainer and Water Truck will be at the Finish Line.
