NGXCL 2 Catamount Chase 2025

Meet Information

Welcome to the official meet page for the Catamount Chase (North Georgia Cross-Country League - Meet #2)

All *eligible GA and TN teams are invited to register for the race. *Please be aware that, per GHSA regulations, no unaffiliated teams will be allowed to register for league races. Schools must be members of the GHSA, GISA, TSSAA, or an equivalent organization in order to participate.

Race Location: THIS MEET WILL NOT BE AT DALTON HIGH SCHOOL. The meet will be at the following location.

Grove Level Baptist Church Park
3931 Tom Manis Rd NE
Dalton, Ga 30721

CHIP TIMING will be provided by Carpet Capital Running Club (Dalton, GA)

Race Times:
(1) Combined Junior Varsity (5k) - 5:00 PM
(2) Varsity Girls (5k) - 5:45 PM
(3) Varsity Boys(5k) - 6:20 PM

Awards:

Medals will be awarded to the top-10 athletes in each varsity race.

The top-5 JV boys and top-5 JV boys will receive medals as well. JV medals will be distributed in the chute. 
Plaques will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd-place teams in each varsity race.
The winning team(s), as well as the top-10 individual finishers (varsity only), will be recognized after the varsity races have concluded.

Entry Fees:

The entry fee for the high school division is $2.50 per athlete.

PLEASE make any roster adjustments before August 29th at 6:00 P.M.

Payments: Make checks payable to Carpet Capital Running Club, and put "NGXCL Meet #2" in the memo line. These can be delivered the day of the meet.

Limitations: COACHES, PLEASE NOTE: THE MEET WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FIRST 25 H.S. TEAMS. 

Registration will close early if 20 teams register before the deadline.

WE WILL ALLOW 10 H.S. VARSITY ENTRIES per team. (RACES 2 & 3). Enter your top-10 runners in varsity HS races and your remaining athletes in the appropriate JV race.

JV entries are unlimited.

Facilities: Restrooms will be available.

Admission: We will charge $5 for each personal vehicle (buses excluded). Proceeds will go to the host school(s) to help defray the costs associated with hosting a meet.

Team tents should be set up in the designated area.
