Location: Marion County Middle High School Track & Field

The Marion County Track and Field Facilities includes all of the following: Track,

Long Jump Pit, Shot Put Circle, and Discus Circle.

Entries fees: Entries are $50 per School if both teams entered. ($30 if only

entering one team). Please make checks payable to.

Meet Entry: All entries must be made online at http://ga.milesplit.com/

At the meet you may substitute athletes, 1 for 1 switch before the meet begins.

Each team may enter 3 athletes in each individual event except the 800 & 1600 (unlimited per school) top

3 score


Each team may enter 2 relay teams in each relay event. 

We will follow the GHSA regulations regarding the number of events for each

athlete. 

 

A contestant in Track and Field may compete in a maximum of four

(4) events and may not be entered in more than four events, relays included. If

a contestant is entered in more than the allowable number of events, meet management

shall scratch the contestant from the excess event(s) by following the listed

Order of Events.

A contestant may officially compete in:

1. Four individual events - NO Relay events.

(Ex: 100m - 200m - 400m - Long Jump)

2. Three individual events - May be listed on any number of relay

events but compete in only one relay event.

(Ex: 100m- 200m - Long Jump - 4 X 100 Relay)

3. Two individual events - May be listed on any number of relay

events but compete in only two relay events.


COACHES PLEASE KNOW THE RULE REGARDING THIS!!!

THE MEET WILL RUN IN THE ORDER AS FOLLOW:

All field events will be run as a THREE attempt final. First attempt will be

measured. All other attempts will have to reach the minimum marks to be

measured as follows:

Long Jump Boys 14' 0" Girls 12' 0" / Triple Jump Boys 25'

0" Girls 20' 0"

Shot Put Boys 25' 0" Girls 15' 0" / Discus Boys 60' 0" Girls

40' 0"  All running events will be run as a

final
. The girls' heats will be first, followed by the boy heats.

Presentation of team Awards

Awards:

Awards will go to the top three finishers in each event.

This year we will place the medals in an envelope and present it

to the head coach at the end of the meet. Team trophies will also be

awarded to the top Boys and Girls teams (overall).



Admission: $5.00 per person -Go Fans Only (Teams and fans will sit on the home side)

 

Athletes should not be on the infield except for the staging

area prior to their event.
