UPDATE ON ELEMENTARY RACES FOR CHAMPIONS CHASE: For those of you who have an elementary squad and planned to bring them along with your high school and/or middle school teams for Champions Chase (on a separate MileSplit listing), there has been a fairly significant change to our elementary race. Our school planned on holding a community fall festival in October, but have now moved it to the same day as Champions Chase and that festival will start at 11:00am well after the HS & MS races are completed. The festival has been planning a 2K color run on our cross country course as the kickoff event to the festival. As a means to consolidate and simplify, the elementary race is now being folded into the 2K community color fun run. Your elementary teams are more than welcome to run it as our elementary runners will still do so. It will be professionally timed, so you can still enter the names on MileSplit and those finish times will be on record. The course is still the same, but the start time will now shift to 11:10am and will be all ages male/female mixed. There will be participant medals, but no top 10 finish recognitions or team trophies as it now a community event. Runners should be registered on both MileSplit and this link provided here:

COURSE:
This course is a single 2K single loop. The terrain will be a mix of mostly flat grass surface and rolling dirt trails in the woods with a couple sidewalk crossings and a couple stretches of loose gravel. Spikes or trainers can be used; flats are recommended.

PARKING:
If traveling by bus, they can drop teams off at Garwood, then can park in the Grove parking lot located on Bay Street between Church and SE Malone Streets.
Parking is limited at Garwood; additional parking is provided at the high school campus one block away (Two lots: one at 109 Milo Fisher Street or the other at the corner of Clayton and Chestnut Streets). There is also plenty of local street parking available.
TEAM TENTS:
Setup for team tents will be on the ends of the athletic field at Garwood. The bleacher stands may also be used as a team tent area.
ADMISSION:
$10 per carload - cash payments in the parking lots, card payment at the entrance gate
CONCESSION:
Snacks and beverages will be sold during the event. There will also be an Italian ice stand at the meet near the concession/restroom area.
