Bainbridge Middle School Track and Field Invitational
Dear Coaches,
We are delighted and hope that your team (s) will participate in our Middle School Invitational meet this year. We promise to provide a quality meet that will allow your athletes to perform with a great deal of success. Please read the information below regarding the procedures and guidelines for this meet. We will not have the Pole Vault Event this year. Please contact Larry Clark at 229-220-7281 or Larry Cosby/Tandria Phillips at 229-248-2230 if there are any questions. ENTRY FEES: $50.00 per team or $100.00 for both boys and girls. Checks should be made payable to Bainbridge High School. There will be no Pole Vault competition.
A contestant in Track and Field may compete in a maximum of four (4) events, including relays. If a contestant is entered in more than the allowable number of events, meet management shall scratch the contestant from the excess event(s) by following the listed Order of Events. Each school may have three (3) entries in each individual event and two (2) entries in each relay event.
A contestant may officially compete in:
1. Four individual events - NO Relay events.
2. Three individual events - May be listed on any number of relay events but compete in only one relay event.
3. Two individual events - May be listed on any number of relay events but compete in only two relay events.
4. One individual event - May be listed on any number of relay events but compete in only three relay events.
Times for running events should be in meters. Please be accurate as possible to ensure that the seeding process will be fair for all athletes.
Times, heights, and distances should be submitted online by Thursday, February 28, 2024. In order to register your team and submit your athletes by events, please click on ENTER ONLINE NOW and follow the steps as outlined.
QUALIFIYING: All running events will be sections versus time. In all field events, (where applicable) each competitor will receive THREE trials.
SCORING: Scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for all events.
AWARDS: Team trophies will be awarded for the first and second place teams. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Concessions and restrooms will be available on site. Coaches should remind athletes that their uniform will serve as a pass for entering and leaving the track area. A coach will need to accompany all others, such as managers, etc., or they will be charged admission.
All athletes are to remain in the designated areas when they are not competing in their events. All athletes should report to the field event judge of the clerk of the course on the first call, which is to be given prior to each event.
