5K Route
Yellow Box - START LINE
Yellow Line - 1st Mile
Blue Line - 2nd Mile
Red Line - 3rd Mile
Red Circle - FINISH
Middle School
Yellow Box - START LINE
Yellow Line - 1st Mile
Blue Line - Starts end of 1st Mile
Orange Turn - Where MS will turn to finish (instead of going into the trail a 2nd time).
We will start at the LGHS Practice Field (YELLOW RECTANGLE).
Athletes will begin run into the trail, and the 1st mile will be near the GREEN POWER box at LGMS.
Athletes will run between the LGMS sidewalk & LGMS Practice Field then take a LEFT at the Greenhouse.
Athletes will run up to the LGHS practice field - make a loop behind the start line and run the route a 2nd time. The FINISH LINE will be on the LGHS Practice Field. (RED CIRCLE).
Middle School will run into the trail one time, and make a big loop on the practice field and turn (ORANGE ARROW) to the FINISH LINE (RED CIRCLE).
Entry limit to the first 25 teams
Locust Grove High School Wildcat XC is proud to host its annual Into the Trail Invitational. Our moderate course is 100% natural terrain, with approximately 1 - 1 miles of trails through our woods.
Race Times:
8:00 am Varsity Boys 5K (Limit 10)
8:40 am Varsity Girls 5K (Limit 10)
9:20 am JV Boys 5K (Unlimited entries)
10:00 am JV Girls 5K (Unlimited entries)
10:40 am Combined Middle School 3K
Awards: Top 10 finishers in each varsity race will be awarded medals - they will be available to pickup at the concession stand..
Entry Deadline and Payment Information:
The entry fee is $100 individual Varsity team or $200 for both Varsity teams. JV entries are free with Varsity entries. $50 Middle School fee if you have a high school team that is entered or $100 if its just Middle School attending.
Entries will be done online at ga.milesplit.us/
Entry deadline is August 16th, 2024.
$5 per spectator.

Directions:
FROM I-75 - Exit 212 Bill Gardner Pkwy. Turn east and travel .5 miles to GA Hwy 42 / US Hwy 23. Turn right (South) and travel .4 miles to Peeksville road. Turn left (East) and travel 3 miles to South Ola Road. Turn right (South) and travel .3 miles to the middle school entrance (past the baseball stadium). There is bus parking next to the stadium (at the middle school).
