Bleckley County's "Clash of the Classes"
Date: Saturday, August 26, 2023(Saturday)
Place: Bleckley County Elementary School (Hwy. 26 East) Cochran, GA
Schedule:
7:30 a.m. - 5th grade & under 1 mile race(girls & boys together)
8:00 a.m. - 6th grade(girls & boys)
8:25 a.m. - 7th grade(girls & boys)
8:50 a.m. - 8th grade(girls & boys)
9:15 a.m. - 9th grade(girls & boys)
9:40 a.m. - 10th grade(girls & boys)
10:05 a.m. - 11th grade(girls & boys)
10:30 a.m. - 12th grade(girls & boys)
Race Distance: 2 miles
Entry Fees: NO ENTRY FEE FOR HS OR MS
Registration: Will be online at: www.ga.milesplit.com (you must register your runners online; no race day registration
Deadline: Thursday, August 24, 2023 (12:00 PM)
Awards: Medals to top 10 girls and top 10 boys/race - MS & HS
Team trophies to at least top 3 schools - MS & HS
** Trophy to fastest overall male & female(MS & HS)
T-Shirts: Will be on sale(EAGLE SPORTZ)
Format:
Each schools first girl runner and first boy runner to cross finish line/race will be that schools ONLY scorers for that class/grade. Of the 8 potential H.S. scorers(2/class-1 girl, 1 boy), a schools lowest 5 scores will be added up to determine each schools total team score(Low Score Wins).
Of the 6 potential M.S. scorers(2/class 1 girl, 1 boy), a schools lowest 4 scores will be added up to determine each schools total team score(Low Score Wins).
Tie-breaker will be teams next lowest scorer.
