Thank you all for attending the third annual Battle of The Blue Ridge Invitational at Habersham Central High School! The entry fee for teams will be $150 per team or $75 per gender please make the check out to Habersham Central Track. The coaches' meeting will be held in the John Larry Black Community Room at 3:30. We will begin making the first call for field events at 3:45.

The entry limit is top 3 per individual event and 1 relay team per school. We will take the best of 3 attempts in shot put, discus, long and triple jump. This will be the order of events as well as event assignments.

Event Starting Heights and Minimums: 

  • PV- Girls: 6-0 (will go up in 1 ft increments until 8-0, then.1/2 inch increments) Boys: 7-0 (will go up in 1 ft increments until 9-0, then.1/2 inch increments)

  • HJ- Girls: 4-0, Boys: 5-2

  • Horizontal jumps and throws will mark the first legal attempt, then follow the minimums:

    • Long Jump- Girls: 13-0, Boys: 16-0

    • Triple Jump- Girls: 26-0, Boys: 33-0

    • Discus- Girls: 70-0, Boys: 90-0

    • Shot Put- Girls: 20-0, Boys: 30-0

The 4x800 will be run during field events at 4:30

First Round Field Events: start at 4:00. *Hart Co. to help with meet management*

Second Round Field Events: Start after completion of the first round of field events.

The high jump and pole vault pits are at the end of the track near the scoreboard.

The long and triple jump pits are at the end of the stadium near the softball field.

The shot and discus are located on the front practice field where you turned into the

school. The shot put is on the end near the dollar general, and the discus is on the end near the stadium. 

All timing for running events will be handled by Fast Feet Timing.

The running order of events is as follows. The first call will be 5:30.

  2. 100/110 Meter Hurdles

  3. 100 Meter Dash

  4. 4 x 200 Meter Relay

  6. 1600 Meter Run

  7. 4 x 100 Meter Relay
