Meet Information
The GOAT pays homage to the races that once took place on the Darlington campus which made use of the trails on the wooded hills behind the school. It gets its name from a steep uphill climb in the first kilometer named "Billygoat" It is not a course where runners will find their PRs. Instead, it is a technical run where roots and rocks must be heeded, and it contains more that 400 feet in elevation gain. About 90% of the run is a trail run forcing runners to search within themselves for encouragement rather than from coaches and fans along the way. Space will be limited due to the narrow width of some of the trails.
