Entry Notes:
1. A contestant in Track and Field may compete in a maximum of four (4) events and may not be entered in more than four events, excluding relays. If a contestant is entered in more than the allowable number of events, meet management shall scratch the contestant from the excess event(s) by following the listed Order of Events.
A contestant may officially compete in:
Four individual events - NO Relay events.
Three individual events - May be listed on any number of relay events but compete in only one relay event. Two individual events - May be listed on any number of relay events but compete in only two relay events. One individual event - May be listed on all three relay events and compete in all three relay events.
2. Each school may have three (3) entries in each individual event and one (1) entry in each relay event. 3. Relay teams entered in the Region/Area Meet may list a maximum of eight (8) runners.
a. The relay names remain the SAME throughout the State Meet Series (Region/Area/Sectional/State Meets) and are the ONLY eligible participants for qualifying relay teams throughout the State Meet
Series.
b. NO replacements may be made in the Relay list of runners advancing from the Region/Area Meet to the Sectional Meet to the State Meet.
c. Any four (4) competitors listed on a Region/Area Meet relay event entry may run in that event in any round of advancement (Region/Area, Sectionals, State Meet Semifinals and Finals), and in any order
desired.

General Information
1. Admission is $5.
2. The Track has eight lanes, is all-weather, and utilizes FAT timing.
3. Shot Put and Discus areas are concrete.
4. Starting blocks will be provided, and you may bring your own.
5. Shots and Discus will be inspected, weighed, and marked.
6. All teams are required to remain off the infield during the running events. If athletes are on the turf without permission they may be disqualified.
7. We will be scoring 8 places.
8. All GHSA rules and regulations will be followed.
9. If a field event has 10 or more participants, then the participants will be divided into two groups (Two Flights). Flight participants will receive 4 attempts. The Top 4 overall marks qualify for State Sectionals. If there are 9 or less participants, then the field event will be one flight with 4 attempts, and the Top 4 marks qualify for State Sectionals.
10. The control tent is for timers and pickers only. No coach should enter unless summoned over the PA system. 11. Hip numbers are to be placed on the side of the left hip.
12. Athletes competing in events held at the same time should report to both the Field Judge and the Clerk of the Course. Running events take precedence over field events and vertical events take precedence over horizontal events. 13. Jasper County High School athletes will be at each field event location. Please send results to the finish line at the conclusion of the last flight of each session.
Bus Parking
All busses should be parked on the visitor side of the stadium.
Check-In
1. Check in will be located under the tent on the field
Implement Weigh-In
Implements will be weighed in and labeled at the table next to the official timer.
Warm Up Area
The warm up area will be from hash to sideline on the visitors side. There should be no athlete inside the pennant flags on the home side.
Team Areas
1. Tents may be setup around the fence outside the running surface..
Region 3AA Bylaws
A. The order of events and scoring will be the same as found in the GHSA Constitution and Bylaws.
1. A starting height for high jump and pole vault will be stated before the meet - at the scratch meet. 2. All contestants will get 4 jumps and / or 4 throws for their event - all will be measured.
3. Three jumps at each height will be allowed for the high jump.
4. High jump and pole vault ties will be broken according to the GHSA Constitution.
5. A contestant participating in high jump and another field event will high jump first.
6. Eight or less contestants in a preliminary event will be ran as a final the second day.
7. A coaches committee will be organized to handle any conflicts.
8. The 1600 will run as a final the first day of the Region Track Meet and a rest period will be inserted during that time slot the second day.
9. Timing for the Region Track Meet will be done using an electronic timing system
