Meet Information
The Central High School Track Program would like to invite you to our second and annual invitational this year. The meet will take place on March 14th, 2009. Our scratch meeting will begin at 9:00am in the press box.
The meet will follow National Federation rules and is sanctioned by the Georgia High School Association. The meet will be conducted by the Central staff and visiting coaches. Trophies will be awarded to the top two girls and boys teams. Individual medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event. The cost is $60 for one team entered and $100 if both girls and boys teams are entered.
Field events will begin at 9:30am. Each school may enter 3 boys and 3 girls in each event. Two relay team per school may be entered. Athletes will receive 4 throws in the Shot and Discus and 4 jumps in the Long and Triple (no finals). There will be a minimum distance that jumpers and throwers must reach in order to be measured (please see schedule for minimum distances). We will score the running events by the time rather than order of finish in heats. We will group faster runners in the final heat.
We will have a concession stand open throughout the day and a hospitality room will be provided for coaches. Please respond by phone, fax or e-mail if you would like to attend (see fax # below).
