2017 East Metro Relays

This packet contains information about our First annual East Metro Relays. We hope that we can build a successful meet this year. Thank you for your participation in this event. THE MEET WILL RUN IN THE BELOW ORDER.
Please note time schedule
All field events will be run as a three attempt final.
All running events will be run as a final. The girl heats will be first followed by the boy heats.

Entries fees: Entries are $150 School. ($75 each for both boy and girl teams). Please make checks payable to:

Meet Entry: All entries must be made online at http://ga.milesplit.com/
NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE.
At the meet you may submit athletes, but names will not be changed in the results.
Each team may enter 2 athletes in each individual event.
Each team may enter 2 relay teams in each relay event.
We will follow the GHSA regulations regarding the number of events for each athlete.

Timing/Results: Timing will be fully automatic and results will be posted on http://ga.milesplit.com/
Uniforms: Please be sure that your athletes wear the correct attire.
All rules regarding jewelry and uniforms will be enforced in this meet.

Coaches Hospitality Room: A hospitality room will be provided for coaches and officials only. No athletes should be in the hospitality room for any reason.

East Metro Relays
Meet Information

1. The 2017 East Metro Relays will run in accordance with GHSA rules. All contestants must be eligible and must compete under GHSA regulations.

2. Admission- $7.00 for Adults; $5.00 for Students

3. A concession stand will be in operation during the meet for athletes and spectators to enjoy. There will also be a hospitality room for coaches and officials only.

4. Relay teams and individuals will be seeded into events on the basis of times and distances submitted on the entry sheets. The final heat will have the fastest recorded athletes from each school.

5. Competitors in the long jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus will be given three attempts to achieve their best mark. We will not have finals in these events.

6. Each school may enter a maximum of two contestants in each individual event and two relay teams for each relays event.

7. Scoring will be on the 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 format for all events.

8. Medals will be awarded for the first three places in each event. Team trophies will also be awarded to the top two teams in the Boys and Girls divisions.

9. Please limit spike length to inch.

10. All participants should listen for the calls for their event and report to the clerk of the course. Failure to report upon request could result in immediate and final disqualification.

11. All spectators, managers, and non-participating athletes must be in the stands during the meet. There will be a designated warm-up and check-in area for participating athletes.

12. There will be a coaches meeting at 8:30AM to answer any questions you might have.

13. If we get ahead of schedule, we will stay ahead and follow the order of events. Please notify your athletes.

*After the first round, throws and jumps will not be measured if an athlete does not jump or throw beyond these distances.
