Welcome to the inaugural 5-Star Stride, hosted by Heritage High School (Catoosa Co.).
Course: The XC course at Heritage High School is extremely spectator-friendly. Parents and coaches can see their runners at least five times throughout the race, with little to no walking. Mile and meter markers are provided and coaches timing areas are easily accessible and within walking distance of one another. The well-maintained, two-loop course incorporates mostly natural running surfaces, with two road crossings. A brick starting line, three hills (of varying intensity), two hay bale jumps, two wooded areas, and creek views make for a very dynamic and enjoyable course. A lot of time, effort, and expense went into the design and construction of the course, and weve received nothing but positive feedback.
*The middle school and elementary courses involve much of the same terrain as on the 5,000 meter course.

Race Times:
(1) Middle School Boys - (3200 meters) 8:00 AM
(2) Middle School Girls - (3200 meters) 8:30 AM
(3) Elementary School Boys and Girls - (1600 meter Fun Run) 9:00 A.M. *Participation medals will be awarded to all participants.
(4) Varsity Boys - (5K) 9:30 AM
(5) Varsity Girls - (5K) 10:00 AM
(6) J.V. Boys - (5K) 10:40 AM
(7) J.V. Girls - (5K) 11:20 AM
(*8) Open/Co-ed Race (if needed) 12:00 PM
Awards:
Middle School Awards 9:00 A.M. (trophies/plaques to the top-3 teams, medals to top-10 individuals)
High School Awards 12:00 PM (trophies to the top-3 varsity teams, medals to top-10 varsity and JV individuals, no JV team awards).
Entry Fees:
Entry fee is $70 for H.S. Varsity Girls' or Boys' team ($130 total for both) if received by 9/25, $80 per team ($150 for both) if received between 9/26 and 10/1; no charge for H.S. - J.V. (unless no Varsity entries).
Entry fee is $35 for M.S. Girls' or Boys' Teams ($65 if you bring both) if received by 9/25, $40 per team ($75 for both) if received between 9/26 and 10/1.
Entry fee for the Elementary Fun Run is $5 per runner. Groups of 10 or more will receive a 10% discount. Please complete the Elementary Fun Run Registration Form and include with your payment. Visit www.heritagecrosscountry.weebly.com for more information.
Individual entries in the middle and high school races are welcome - individual entry fee is $10 per athlete. Individual entries must compete in appropriate race for age.

Make checks payable to "Heritage Cross-Country Boosters", and put "5-Star Stride" in "for" line. Please do NOT make checks payable to Heritage High School.

Limitations:
COACHES - PLEASE NOTE: THE MEET WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FIRST 30 H.S. TEAMS. The MIDDLE SCHOOL races will be limited to 20 TEAMS.
WE WILL ALLOW 10 H.S. VARSITY ENTRIES. (RACES 4 & 5). Enter top 10 runners in varsity HS races, unlimited entries in JV and MS races.
PLEASE NOTE: IF ENTRY #'S FOR JV RACES (Races 6 & 7) ARE HIGH AND THERE IS RISK OF OVERCROWDED RACING CONDITIONS, WE MAY LIMIT THOSE RACES TO 10 ENTRIES AND SHIFT ADDITIONAL ENTRIES TO AN OPEN / CO-ED JV RACE, which will be held at 12:00 P.M.
COACHES - Please e-mail your approximate # of JV boy and girl entries to Coach Wynne (coachwynne11@gmail.com) by 9/25/15, so we can determine whether an additional JV race is necessary.
Entry Deadline: September 25th @ midnight.

Facilities: Restrooms will be available.
Concessions: Food and drinks will be available.
Admission: We will charge $3 for each personal vehicle (buses excluded)
Parking: Parking for spectators is available at Heritage High School. There will be signs and volunteers to direct you. All buses will be directed to a designated unloading and parking area. Overflow parking will be available at Heritage Middle School.
Note: Heritage High has two entrances. One is located off of Poplar Springs Rd. (across from the middle school) and will be open until 7:30 A.M. Due to safety concerns, the Poplar Springs entrance will then be closed to incoming and outgoing traffic. The other entrance is located off of Post Oak Rd., which intersects Poplar Springs Rd. This entrance will remain open during the entire event. All buses should enter at the Post Oak Rd. entrance, even if arriving early. Parking attendants will guide drivers to the unloading and bus parking area.
