Grovetown Invitational Meet Information

1. The 2013 Grovetown Invitational Meet will be sanctioned by the GHSA and will run in
accordance with their rules. All contestants must be eligible and must compete under
GHSA regulations. Entry fee is $100 per team, $200 for both a boys and girls team.
2. Admission - $3.00 for Adults and students
3. A concession stand will be in operation during the meet for athletes and spectators to
enjoy. There will also be a hospitality room for coaches only.
4. Relay teams and individuals will be seeded into events on the basis of times and
distances submitted on the entry sheets. All running events will be run as a final in
section against time.
5. Competitors in the long jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus will be given three
attempts to achieve their best mark. We will not have finals in these events.
6. Each school may enter a maximum of two contestants in each event and two relay
teams for the 4 x 100 meter, 4 x 400 meter, Sprint Medley, and Distance Medley relays.
7. Scoring will be on the 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 format for all events.
8. Medals will be awarded for the first three places in each event. Team trophies will
also be awarded to the top team in the Boys and Girls divisions.
9. Please limit spike length to inch.
10. Starting blocks will be furnished.
11. All vaulting poles must be properly marked according to National Federation rules.
Coaches should turn in the pole vault verification form to the official conducting that
event.
12. All participants should listen for the calls for their events and report to the clerk of
the course. Failure to report upon request could result in immediate and final
disqualification.
13. All spectators, managers, and coaches who are not officiating in the meet should be
in the stands during running events.
14. There will be a coaches meeting at 9:00 AM for last minute information and to
answer any questions you might have. If you need to substitute an athlete just have
them run under the name in the heat sheets.
15. If we get ahead of schedule, we will stay ahead and follow the order of events.
Please notify your athletes.
16. The SMR will be 100-100-200-400
17. Meet will have FAT timing run by Fast Feet Timing Services.
18. Meet t-shirts will be available and produced on site by Eagle Sportz.
19. All GHSA rules will be inforced including uniform and jewelry rules.

Exit 190. Turn left onto Horizons Parkway. Turn left onto William Few Parkway
(approximately mile). The school is about 2 miles on left.
Interstate 20 West
Exit 190. Turn right onto Horizons Parkway. Turn left onto William Few Parkway
(approximately mile). The school is about 2 miles on left.
