There wasn't much movement in 1A Private girls this past week. Hebron remains #1 after Furman. If Landmark Christian can get healthy by Region/State things could flip..Athens Academy remains 3rd as they beat PCA several weeks ago heads up. Mount Paran, Walker and Athens Christian all moved up.
An extremely active week for 1A Private Boys teams with Asics and Hebron Lions Showcase. Landmark Christian is the team to beat, though working thru some minor injuries. PCA moves ahead of Hebron after their Asics performance. Athens Academy moves into 5th after Furman and Whitefield shoots into 7th after running well at Asics.
Coach Wood will be a battleground Saturday for many of these top ranked squads. Little movement with Harrison jumping into 7th after Furman and Westminster is back in the top 10 after their 3rd place effort at Asics.
The Nike/Fleet Feet Coach Wood meet is going to shape things up...(Riley Friedman won in 2014) Five of the top 6 teams Varsity were off. Milton won Furman impressively. 4 4A squads remain in the top 10!

Bleckley successful at home with win and a mere 19 points! Pace and Wesleyan run almost even times and look to be similar in nature to the girls #2-3 with too close to call.
Big Showdowns coming at the Coach Wood meet this Saturday! South Forsyth closed the gap on Northview a bit at Asics. Harrison moved up 2 spots after their Furman race. Woodstock on the watch list after Cherokee County.

It was a terrific weekend of racing which produced some very fast times. Savannah Carnahan earned the Ladies honors and Thomas Moore on the Boys side.
Not much movement this week, we had teams on one of the quicker courses in North Georgia @ Mountain but then some went to Westover on a really fast course. Teams that didn't go to either of those took the week off and are probably set to go to Asics this weekend. Maybe after most AA teams get a chance on fast courses we might be able to do a bit more comparing. SVA on the girls side looks strong with a series of wins. Definitely on the radar and inching closer and closer to the podium. Can't wait to see them chase down of the girls from AA at Carrollton in a few weeks.

With 12 of the top 20 1A Private Girls Teams OFF - The decision was made for the rankings to NOT be changed this week. However, watch for movement following this upcoming Saturday! If we don't get flooded again as is the current forecast..Landmark Christian needs to get healthy by Region/State.

North Cobb Christian also trekked to Jesse Owens, but competed in a large school race fairing well with a 18:22 team avg.
A busy week for 4A girls squads despite the nasty weekend. Marist may have had their best race of the season at FSU. St.Pius X was 10th down in Tallahasee with a strong team average of 20:05. Once again the Mountain Invitational played a big part in sorting out this week’s rankings as White County surged up to 3rd this week. North Oconee put it all together at Mtn rising to 4th. Eagle's Landing ran well on their home course at Henry County Championships.
Marist ran very well at FSU besting St.Pius X who went after it early. North Oconee won the Mountain Invitational and are back in the All Class top 10 this week. Whitewater won a diluted Fayette County meet and the Mountain Invitational cleared thing up a little from 4-10.
