From record-threatening hurdle times to massive throws, these "Future Stars" are proving that the next generation of Georgia athletics is in very capable hands.
The Power Specialists (Throws)
Armani Hatcher (Merry Acres Middle School)
Hatcher has established herself as a premier thrower this season. Her mark of 114-00.00 solidified her spot near the top of the leaderboards.
Jordan Valencia (Ben-Hill Middle School)
Valencia is a name to watch as the championship season nears. He recently hit 46-04.00, showing he has the strength to compete with the very best in the state.
Mhisani Zaid (Otwell MS)
Zaid has been a standout in Forsyth County, matching Valencia's mark of 46-04.00 at the Sawnee Mountain MS Meet. His technical precision in the shot put ring makes him a constant podium threat.
The Speed & Hurdle Technicians
Sydnie Ellis (Luella)
Ellis is a hurdle specialist who has dominated the 300m Hurdles with a blistering 47.08. She also showcases her range in the 100m Hurdles, where she is one of the top seeds in the state.
Jayden Haynes (Liberty)
A pure sprinter, Haynes is one of the fastest boys in Georgia this year. He holds an impressive 11.16 in the 100m Dash and a 24.21 in the 200m, proving he has both the start and the finishing speed.
Sophie Day (Woodward)
Day has turned heads with a phenomenal 57.06 seed time in the 400m Dash. While unattached, her performances have made her the woman to beat in the long sprint event.
The Vertical & Horizontal Jumpers
Ella Thomas (North Paulding)
Thomas currently leads the state in the Long Jump with a massive leap of 19-09.50. Breaking the 20-foot barrier in middle school is a rare feat that would make her an elite prospect if she can hit it.
Kelan Freeman (W. R. Coilie)
Freeman tops the state with a 40-06.50 personal best. His explosiveness off the board has helped W.R. Coilie become a competitive force in the jumping events.

Averi Cerni (Cornerstone)
Cerni has been a model of consistency in the long distances, posting a 11:44.95. She is known for her strong engine and has been a dominant force in the Atlanta area.
Roman Vinciquerra (David T. Howard Middle School)
Vinciquerra has emerged as a top contender in the Atlanta Public Schools system, running a 4:47.13 in the 1600m. He is a versatile runner who can compete in both the 800m and 1600m with ease.
Jake Mobley (Carrollton Middle School)
Mobley rounds out our list with a strong 4:48.52 in the 1600m. Coming from a Carrollton program with a rich track history, Mobley is continuing the tradition of excellence in distance running.
