For whatever reason this just isn't usually a busy weekend of racing. There's still several quality meets, but it seems alot of the top teams opt for a rest weekend or a more low key weekend of racing. I guess it makes sense though after the hype of Wingfoot and the competitive local championships in the weeks leading up to this. Not to mention teams might be resting up for a run at PR's in October with Asics, Coach Wood, Great American, and other really big meets in the mix. Almost everybody goes to one of the big ones. 

So while this weekend might not be the full slate of big time meets, it's basically the calm before the storm. Because Asics is huge, and that will kick of the time of year all of these kids have been waiting for. And we all could use a breather while we get ready for it. Also there's another hurricane coming so who knows what the weather will be like and how wet these courses will be this weekend.
