It's time to Vote for the Georgia Cross Country Performer of the Week!
Since August racing is a little inconsistent, we're combining the first 3 weeks of competition into just one vote. Moving forward we will do this once a week and we will have up to 5 nominees for both boys and girls each week
Here's the lineup for this week's vote:
Zahara Bernal - Pace Academy - She won Bob Blastow on 8-24 in a time of 17:30 and Cherokee County Classic on 8-17 in a time of 11:20
Elise Wooddell - Rome - She won Ridge Ferry on 8-24 in a time of 18:10 and was 3rd at Hoya 2 mile in a time of 11:29
Maya Davis - Athens Academy - She won the Silver race at North Georgia Championships on 8-24 in a time of 18:18 and won North Georgia Two Mile Stage Races on 8-17 in a time of 11:11
Paige Comstock - Harrison - She won the Starr's Mill Panther XC Meet on 8-31 in a time of 18:32 and won the Hoya 2 Mile in a time of 11:10
Ella Gibbs - Bleckley County - She won the Patriot Pride Invitational on 8-17 in a time of 18:35 and won the Bleckley County Clash of Classes on 8-24 in a time of 11:50

Note - Time is only one factor to determine the nominees each week. Place in each meet will be another factor, the bigger the meet the more it's weighed.
Once an Athlete wins, they will no longer be nominated for athlete of the week.We will keep a running tally of each week's winner and then after the season have a final vote for athlete of the year.
