Bob Blastow is the big invitational this weekend. The fast course is sure to produce some PR's for runners in attendance. Many will be running their first race and might be shaking off some rust. Several others have already shaken off the rust and are looking for an early season bar to be set for them to chase the rest of the season. The course has no hills and very few turns so there's very little to break up the stride. The only things that can slow times down potentially are the ground if it's wet and the weather if it's hot or humid. But mostly it's a great PR chase opportunity early on in the season. And that's what kids will be looking to do after a summer of working hard. It's also a great measuring stick to compare yourself to previous greats and state champions in the sport.
