There are clearly two schools that currently have the upper hand in Class 4A Girls. Marist, as expected, is loaded with distance strength and it will take some calculation before their region meet to find out if they have a girl or two that will compete in all three distance events. Jefferson can throw up some big numbers in the field events, some speed, and Katherine Law in the distance events. Fayette County may be the only school that can keep up with its speed and horizontal jumps. Thomas County (Central) was a track powerhouse back in the '60s and seems to heading back in that direction.
