The infamous Steeplechase at Marietta HS
Marietta's track facility was once again the place to be for the weekend. This time at the 4th Annual Spring Break Showdown as 53 schools and over 1000 athletes were set to compete in this popular invitational. A number of top-ranked athletes and teams were on hand as 74 MileSplit National Elite performances were achieved. Carrollton made a statement as the Trojans swept the team titles. Below are a few of the highlights of the meet.

Matthew Brown of Hart County won his second Steeplechase race of the season in 6:11
Alpharetta sped to the 4x100 win clocking a time of 42.43
Jamie Marlowe of Grady was victorious in the 1600 meters at 5:09.58
Maya Turner of Allatoona won the 400m dash posting a time of 57.45
Eric Pullam, Jr of Parkview won a hotly contested 400-meter dash race posting a 49.33
Colleen Branch of Westlake (L) dominated the 100-meter dash going 11.83
Jessicka Woods of Maynard Jackson set a new 2021 #1 all-classes time in the 100 hurdles at 13.82
Zack Truitt of Landmark Christian leads a loaded field in the 800-meter run
Mallory Hodge of Tucker ran an impressive 24.32 winning the 200-meter dash
Syre Stewart of North Atlanta (L) seized a rare lane 8 win in the 200-meter dash at 22.22
Kara Stewart from McEachern HS won the 400 hurdles in 1:08.72
Fredrick Hamilton of Grady took the victory in the boys 400 hurdles at 57.15
Frances Butts of Chapel Hill seized the win in the 3200-meter run at 11:31
Tyler Tremble of McEachern won the 110 hurdle race clocking a 14.74
Jamie Marlowe of Grady won her second race of the day in the 800-meter run at 2:21.76
