Marietta swept the varsity titles at the Cobb County Championships Saturday. The boys poured it on led by Kamari Miller, who once again put on a show, pulling away from the field scorching the course clocking a 15:19 for the overall win. The Blue Devils placed four runners in the top nine positions, including Jared Fortenberry 3rd place at 16:24, James May 4th in 16:35, and Cade Mayfield 9th at 16:57 for a 53 point margin of victory over team runnerup Harrison. Riley Kerstine of Kennesaw Mountain took 5th overall at 16:44.

There was an intense battle held in the girl's championship race between Marietta, Pope, and Walton. The Lady Blue Devils came out of the fray victorious by five points over defending 7A state champ Hillgrove. Marietta put three runners in the top ten, led by Betsy Gordon's 3rd place finish at 19:30.
