I would like to honor Senior Andrew Rodgers. Andrew's work ethic is like few athletes I have encountered over the years. He is a coach's dream. He understands the importance of challenging practices, setting short and long term goals and leading by example. I've had an opportunity to coach him for three years. He competed at the 2017 state meet in the 1600m run and in the 2019 state meet in the 800m run. His goal this season was to win the 800m run at state and advance to state in the 1600m run as well. Andrew has a PR in the 800m of 1:57.37 and a PR of 4:36.90 in the 1600m run. Andrew will be missed by his teammates and coaches. I appreciate his commitment to excellence and I wish him all the best as he starts a new chapter in his life.
