GA HS Boys 110 Meter Hurdles Top 500 Millennials

Matt Moore of Union Grove HS in Henry County had a tremendous senior season winning the 5A State title and put it all together at the 2016 Georgia Meet of Champions going 13.33..  He is currently at North Carolina A&T.

Georgia has always been known for having great hurdlers going all the way to 1936 with Spec Towns at the Berlin Olympics and Roger Kingdom in the 1980's just to name a couple. Terrence Trammel competed for Southwest DeKalb HS in the mid-late 90's where he won multiple state titles in the 110h and 100m (a rare combination now) He ran for South Carolina in college and was NCAA Outdoor champ in the 110h in 1999 and 2000 as well as 2000 Indoor Champ. He won the silver medal in the 110 meter hurdles at both the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics, as well as three silver medals at the World Championships. He qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but had to pull out of competition after injuring his hamstring in the prelims.

William Wynne of McEachern HS was a phenom in HS winning multiple state titles in both the 110h and 300h. He moved onto the University of Florida where he began to  specialized in the 400m hurdles. In 2019 at the USATF Outdoor Championships, Wynne took third place in a prelims heat of the 400h, nabbing the final automatic berth for Friday's semifinals. He also competed in the 2016 Olympic Trials

Collegiate Honors: (Two-time All-American) 2009 NCAA Outdoor All-American -- 110h; 2009 NCAA Indoor All-American -- 4x400m.

HS/Prep Honors: A two-time USA Today All-American and the 2007 USATF Track and Field Youth Athlete of the Year … The 2008 USATF Junior Olympics Champion in the 400m hurdles (49.84) … Captured the Georgia high school state championship in the 110m hurdles (13.51) and the 300m hurdles (36.28) in 2008 … Also captured those two titles in 2007 … The 2007 Nike Outdoor 400m hurdle champion and the 2007 USATF 400m hurdles Junior Champion … Set the world youth record in the 400m hurdles in 2007 with a time of 49.01 … Helped direct McEachern to back-to-back class 5A state championships in 2007 and 2008.
