Coaches, the Georgia Middle School State Cross Country Championships being held at Bleckley County Elementary School is fast approaching.. Currently, 94 schools and over 1720 athletes are registered, with at least 14 schools that have not added athletes to their entry yet. Please, do not wait until the final hour to add your team and athletes, as we may not be immediately available to help you like an ATM. There will be NO RACEDAY entries, as the meet is fluid with races starting on time every 30 minutes. MileSplit GA is also shooting a photo gallery, cover shots and Race Video as in 2018.
2019 MEET INFORMATION (registration has been extended till 6pm Thursday) Coaches, I urge you to complete your entries ASAP, and not wait until the just before the deadline to do so.. Also, you must make sure your athlete's chips are securely fastened on their shoes with the zip ties provided. If their chip falls off during the race due to being not properly fastened, they may not have an 'Official Time and Place' on raceday.. and none of us want that.
Bleckley County has an army of dedicated volunteers that have helped grow and make this event what it has become today. Its a wonderful culture of great people, who really care about the meet and all the kids who come here to race helping make memories for them that can last a lifetime! If you encounter them at the meet please feel free to thank them for their service. And, if you have the time, go eat at Scott's BBQ like we do every year without fail (425 GA-87) as they are a big Sponsor of the meet!
